Zoom Setup for Music Lessons

By default, the Zoom client will utilize noise suppression and echo cancellation to optimize speech, but these audio filters can interfere with musicians with their instruments that requires the full range of audio captured by the microphone. In these situations, users can disable these audio filters and improve their sample rates to improve their in-meeting sound quality.

Audio Settings Tutorial

  1. Sign in to the Zoom client.
  2. Click on the cog to open “Setting”.
  1. Click the “Audio” button.
  2. Under the “microphone” section, turn off “Automatically adjust microphone volume”
  3. Under the “Audio Profile” section, select Zoom optimized audio.
  4. Set “Suppress background noise” to Low
