For adults, it is never too old or too late to start learning the guitar. For children, grade 2 at around 7 to 8 years old is a good age to start guitar. However every child is unique, some might be able to start at younger age. Alternately children younger than 6 can try the ukulele before learning the guitar. Ting also teaches the ukulele.
